HOW DO WE GET THERE?

You are responsible for making your own flight arrangements to Athens, Greece. From Athens you can either fly or take a ferry to Paros. We will give you directions to the villa when full payment is received.

​WHY PAROS, GREECE?

The Greek island of Ikaria is identified by Dan Buettner as one of five Blue Zones in the world, for its healthy climate, Mediterranean-style diet and down-to-earth lifestyle. We will be recreating the Blue Zone experience not far from Ikaria on the Island of Paros.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
  • Yoga mat

  • Enough comfortable clothing for two yoga sessions each day

  • Sunscreen, body and lip

  • Bug repellent

  • Sun hat

  • Raincoat 

  • Swim suit suitable for water yoga

  • Your prescriptions

  • Preferred pain reliever 

  • Water bottle​

HOW MUCH IS IT?

Cost is determined by your choice of accommodations, whether a luxurious private king suite, or a single bed in a shared room, anywhere from $2445 to $2745. See your room options here. Once you decide your room preference, our pricing is as follows:​

  • Deposit: $500 non-refundable deposit is required to hold your place, along with a signed contract

  • Balance: to be paid thirty (30) days before the retreat departure

WHAT IS A TYPICAL DAY LIKE?

Days could vary, but here is a typical schedule:

  • 6:30-7:00, Meditation

  • 7:00-8:00, Vinyasa, or other energizing practice

  • 8:00-10:00, Breakfast

  • 10:00-12:00, Mid-morning yoga practice, alternating styles

  • 12:00-1:00, Lunch

  • 1:00-5:30, Personal time for relaxation, exploration or adventure

  • 5:30-6:30, Yin or restorative yoga

  • 6:30-7:30, Dinner

  • 7:30-9:00, Evening gathering for intentional contemplation, meditation, sharing of stories, insights, laughter, movement and connection.

WHAT ACTIVITIES ARE AVAILABLE?

Though the island is small, there are still plenty of activities available, from exploring the villages and beaches to scuba diving, kite boarding, helicopter and boat tours.

WHAT IS INCLUDED?
  • Accommodations in luxury hotels for seven nights. First night in Athens Greece and six on Paros.

  • Daily yoga offerings will offer a range of practices including vinyasa, hatha flow, gentle yoga stretch, restorative yoga, yoga nidra, meditation, and pranayama (breath work). The small group classes are designed to provide individual attention to alignment. The specialized instruction is suitable for all levels of practice, individual limitations, and specific conditions. Experienced yogis will be able to deepen their practice while those newer to the discipline will feel safe and empowered.

  • Delicious, fresh, local cuisine served at the hotel each day, includes: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. On the first evening, dinner will be served, as will breakfast on the final day of the retreat.  Daytime meals are vegetarian, evening meals may include meat and fish. Kosher meals are not available. Please let us know in your contract if gluten-free, or other dietary, options are required.  

  • A half day (5 hours) boat excursion with local guide

  • Transportation from Athens to Paros

WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED?
  • Airfare to and from Athens

  • Alcoholic beverages (beer and wine available for purchase at hotel)

  • Massage

  • Private Lessons

  • Tours and Excursion

  • Yoga mats and necessary props will be available if reserved in advance, $30/week, cash only. Proceeds will be donated to a local charity.
